Wine Region

Healdsburg

Healdsburg puts you at the center of two of Sonoma's strongest appellations. Alexander Valley is five minutes northeast; old-vine Cabernet, fourth-generation families, cave tours that run long because the wine is that good. Dry Creek Valley is five minutes the other way; hillside Zinfandel, small operations, tasting rooms where the person pouring actually made the wine. The town square has excellent restaurants. Most of the wineries worth the drive are under 20 minutes away.
