Weingut Schäffer is one of the oldest family wineries in Mainfranken, with documented family presence in Escherndorf am Main since 1524. Specializing in dry Franconian wines, the winery is known as the "Haus der trockenen Frankenweine" (House of Dry Franconian Wines). The estate has recently expanded into red wine production and continues to focus on quality wines from traditional and experimental varietals.
